The reality

You manage the community. The landscape shouldn’t manage you.

Managing a community means juggling residents, boards, budgets, and a dozen vendors. The landscape shouldn’t add to that load — but when service slips or communication breaks down, it’s your desk it lands on.

Earthy manages community landscapes the way you manage the community: on a schedule, against a documented scope, with problems surfaced early and in writing. When something needs attention, you hear it from us first — with a photo and a recommendation attached.

What we handle

The issues that actually reach your desk

Every item below is something a manager otherwise has to chase. Our job is to take them off your list.

Community appearance

Entrances, streetscapes, and amenity areas are the community’s first impression — and the first thing residents and prospective buyers judge. We maintain them to a visible, consistent standard.

Resident expectations

Residents notice results, not contracts. Consistent crews, clean sites, and predictable schedules prevent most complaints before they start.

Board communication

Boards need updates they can forward: what was done, what was found, what it will cost to fix. We report in plain language, with photos.

Budget planning

Annual budgets shouldn’t be surprised by the landscape. We flag upcoming needs — tree work, replanting, irrigation aging — early enough to plan for them.

Irrigation

Small irrigation problems become big bills when nobody’s watching. We monitor systems as part of maintenance, report failures with photos, and fix them before they turn into dead turf and replacement costs.

Trees & storm readiness

Structural pruning before storm season, documented hazard flags, and 24/7 response after weather events — with cleanup priorities agreed in advance.

Vendor accountability

If a service is in the scope, it gets performed — and you can verify it. Deficiency reports, corrective action, and a contact who owns the result.

Enhancements

Entrance refreshes, seasonal color, common-area upgrades — designed, priced, and built by the same company that maintains the property.

For boards

Documentation your board can act on

Boards make better landscape decisions when they can see the property the way the contractor does.

  • Service documentation — what was performed and when
  • Deficiency reports with photos and corrective actions
  • Irrigation status and repair recommendations
  • Enhancement proposals with clear pricing
  • Storm-season preparation and response planning
  • Budget-cycle input for the coming year’s landscape needs

FAQ

Questions from boards and community managers

Will Earthy walk our community before we go out to bid?

Yes. Earthy will walk the community with the manager or board, review the current scope and contract, and share what we see — before or during a bid, with no obligation.

What reporting does the board receive?

Service documentation of what was performed and when, deficiency reports with photos and corrective actions, irrigation status and repair recommendations, enhancement proposals with clear pricing, storm-season planning, and input for the next budget cycle.

Who does the community manager contact when something comes up?

Each community has one Earthy contact who knows the property, walks it routinely, and owns the response — so resident issues and board requests go to one person, not a general inbox.

Does Earthy handle irrigation for HOAs?

Yes. Irrigation monitoring, wet checks, repairs, and controller programming are part of maintenance, and Earthy also rebuilds community irrigation systems as capital projects.

Can Earthy provide a certificate of insurance and references for our board?

Yes. Earthy is licensed and insured. A certificate of insurance and client references from current HOA maintenance accounts are available on request.

Which communities does Earthy maintain today?

Current maintenance accounts include Calusa Club Village, Village Homes at Country Walk, and Elan.
